“A Place of Refuge Ministries” is a network of volunteers who are committed to life and to caring for women facing crisis pregnancy in South Wisconsin. Refuge House (located in Milwaukee) is a safe place that provides a loving, nurturing, and educational environment for women and their preborn children. Women may come to Refuge House at any time during their pregnancy and stay for up to six months after the child’s birth. While staying at Refuge House women must participate in schooling, working and/or volunteering. Good Shepherd has an annual drive to supply money, diapers, cribs, car seats, bottles, clothing and other needs. Watch for notices in the bulletin. There are also many service opportunities at Refuge House. For more information, visit their website or call the House Manager.
