Each year Good Shepherd cultivates a portion of its land to serve as the Community Gardens of Good Shepherd. Open to members and non-members alike, the goal is to share our gifts with the community and, at the same time, grow gardens and relationships with local residents. Garden plots are approximately 12 by 18 feet and up to two plots can be used by one individual. We encourage donations of firm, fresh produce to the Watertown Food Pantry (204 N. 10th St.). Payment of a $20 deposit per plot is necessary before gardening begins in spring, with $15 dollars returned to you in fall provided your garden is clear of debris and ready to be tilled by November 1. Water is provided in 55 gallon drums. For a copy of the garden application, click here
